What is Geisha Coffee?

Geisha coffee is a premium varietal of Arabica, originally from Ethiopia, over time Geisha coffee has been cultivated in other countries including Colombia due to their optimal coffee-growing environments. Renowned for its  flavour, Geisha coffee typically features a delicate, floral aroma with notes of jasmine, tropical fruits, and a tea-like body — the rarity and complexity of which means it is often produced in small volumes and highly sought after. This Colombian Geisha thrives in the country’s volcanic soils and high altitudes, enhancing its unique characteristics and producing bright tasting notes of strawberry, lemon and lime.

The Anaerobic Process

This unique process is prized for highlighting intricate notes in speciality coffees like Colombian Geisha. Anaerobic coffee is fermented in oxygen-free tanks under controlled conditions, creating a distinctive profile and producing vibrant, fruity, complex flavours.
